I am an utility tools developer and electricity tariff researcher based in Tripura, India. I am the founder and operator of BillUnits.in, India’s free electricity bill calculator covering all 28 states and 8 Union Territories.
I built BillUnits.in in February 2026 after noticing that most Indian electricity consumers didn’t understand how their bills were calculated — particularly the slab-wise progressive tariff system used by state DISCOMs. Here my goal is simple: make accurate, state-specific bill estimation free and accessible to everyone India electricity consumers. The website built with the help of AI and developed on WordPress CMS.
Methodology: Every tariff on BillUnits.in is sourced directly from official State Electricity Regulatory Commission (SERC) tariff orders and DISCOM notifications. Tariffs are verified quarterly and cross-checked against sample bills from real consumers.
